Day 7 of the impeachment of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton slid off the road, when prosecutor Rusty Hardin declared, “Your honor, at this time The House of Managers rest”. Defense attorney Tony “BuzSaw” Buzbee jumped on the massive screw up and countered, “He just rested without a cross exam”. Witness Blake Brickman just sat there in the witness box and looked befuddled. In fact, everyone in Austin seemed to experience that same feeling. Hardin returned to the mic and tried to laugh off his Law School 101 faux pax, but to no avail. Add to the fact that there were still WITNESSES scheduled to testify!!! 

 

From the start of this extremist exercise to remove a legally elected Attorney General, we were promised a mountain of evidence that would convince even the biggest Paxton supporter that he was ONE step away from being thrown out the door. The witnesses were going to deliver such gut wrenching testimony, that it was a guaranteed slam dunk. But nothing ever happened. The prosecution did not deliver on their promises. No bombshell evidence. No explosive testimony. Not even biased sound clips for the evening news ! 

 

It appeared that Rusty rested his case so he could have this debacle wrapped up to get home sooner than later.

 

Don’t give up! Keep calling your Texas State Senators. Let them know that you have also witnessed “The Capital Coup” against Ken Paxton!!!
