When will Dems Try To Stop The Bleeding? Trial Is Spinning Out Of Control!

Day 5 of the Ken Paxton Impeachment Trial continued to corkscrew towards earth for those looking to fuel the coup of the Texas Attorney General. Defense attorney Mitch Little did not hold back when cross-examining former Deputy AG for Criminal Justice Mark Penley. Little went “Crossfire-Hurricane” right from the start, and forced Penley to admit he “slow walked” the investigation back at the start. Little brought up evidence that AG Paxton wanted “the truth” about Nate Paul. But 6 weeks went by while Penley, and former Texas Ranger David Maxwell did nothing about the investigation.  This despite Ken Paxton’s DEMAND, “To seek out the truth, and let results be what they are”. Penley had to admit that Paxton NEVER told him to obstruct justice!

And then, the House Managers felt certain they would show the “Smoking Gun” through the testimony of Greg Cox, first asst. DA of Hays County, by blowing up plenty of prospective crimes engaged by Ken Paxton. It all fell apart with the truth: “You can indict a ham sandwich”. After feeling certain a serious blow had been struck, the air fell out of Cox’s bag of wind when he admitted to sending an application for employment to Ken Paxton after visiting with the “whistleblowers” leaving the Senate floor quiet.  

It’s becoming crystal clear that the impeachment of Texas AG Ken Paxton was solely driven by politics and payback. Now the question is, when will those who created this disaster desperately try to stop their own political bleeding? 

Simultaneously, Republicans are being charged with the mission of calling their State Senators and letting them know the cat is out of the bag. Get Ken Paxton back to work as our Texas Attorney General!
